ARCHITECTURE AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
At the beginning of my diploma thesis stands a grand analysis of the topics “home”, “temporary architecture” and how “community” can be influenced by architecture. The result is Tazo, a modular, multifunctional piece of furniture that is used to activate the town center and create new meeting points in rural areas, especially for the municipality of Brunnenthal.
The population is actively involved in the creation process.
From the beginning of July to the end of September, the furniture is built and set up together in the course of some events. They serve clubs and private individuals as a projection surface and function as meeting points and cafés. After their use during summer, the Tazos will be integrated into the elementary school as a fixed component. Due to their flexibility, they enable many different uses, including at community events.
